Power of Unity
Corruption is a sport
Park! Like a Referee that knows his job
Poised like an athlete determined to win
Deftly Catching Green balls
Defying even the force of wind
Chases after his disobeying prey
as unto a 100m race
About to lose?
Aims his weapon like a hunter after his game
This one is fit
For the catching sport
The sport he was not trained to win
Militation to the good life
Accomplice to the bad
Identity confusing
Not sure anymore
This race that he runs
These balls he catches
A sport that never ends
Even after the whistle is blown.
Joy
Alive today,dead to yesterday-
I don’t know what the morrow brings.
Perpetuation as seconds tick away,
Life is drained on memory’s wings.
Alive today, that’s all I can say
Because certainty’s a shifting sand.
A whirlpool of colours turning white,
A figment of tastes going bland-
And yet certainty’s still out of sight.
As in the dark,I seek and grapple-
Each attempt seems unique, yet not.
As with the same pieces of a puzzle-
Various attempts are failure frought.
My joy is somewhat misplaced;
For I seek it in the end-
When the music is over;in the fade.
Remember, joy is not round the bend.
Every moment of opportunity,
Is a joy and a blessing indeed!
Stretch that minute to eternity.
